Blanket Flats

Blanket Flats is located approx. 10klms south of Bigga Village. Blanket Flats is well known for its history which used to be the original Bigga Post Office and house the Post Master's residence. It also was and still is the main road to Bigga and the current Wyangala State Recreational Park area.

From the early 1800's to the early 1900's, this road, known as Bigga Road, was unsealed and used by horse and cart and horse carriages. To day the original Post Office does not exist, though the original fire place still stands.

The road, Bigga Road, from Crookwell to Bigga is sealed and is a great picturesque drive to engulf Australia's history of the wool industry and surrounding areas.
